Great for Small Dogs

This set of bones is just the right size for our 9 lb. terrier mix. I've got them on autoship... one is good for dental cleaning, one is softer and gets chewed up quickly and the third is almost indestructible. The price on Amazon is significantly less than in my local pet store for the same product.

These are great chew toys for our French bulldogs. They spend more time with plastic chew bones than any other toy. They can often be seen zeroing in on them from across the room and bolting to them to chew on for about 15 minutes.

The only reason we replace them is when they begin to look disgusting and gnarled or they get lost. We usually find them under furniture. That is when they go in the garbage.

However, I prefer the Hartz brand to these. Nylabones tend to get really sharp after they have been chewed on for awhile, while the Hartz hold up longer. The sharpness of the Nylabones after significant chewing concerns me with cutting up their mouths.

All in all, I still really like these and recommend them.

My 10 month old put mix’s goal is to tear up as much as he can as fast as he can. This bone is amazing!!! It occupies him for a little but and he hasn’t been able to tear it up. You can definitely see where he is chewing it but it isn’t going anywhere anytime soon. I do not know if all dogs do this but mine for some reason likes to put his paw on the bone and slide it around the floor while he’s trying to chew on it so it’s very entertaining for me to watch also.

They have a flavor to them which make them more appealing however the drawback is that some pieces my dogs do end up swallowing which go straight through them. I love these bones and so does my dog. The reason that I gave them a 4 star is because when he chews on them the edges get sharp. Since they get sharp, they can hurt my dogs mouth. He loves to chew on them and they last about 6 months each before I have to throw them away because of the sharp area. He is very rough on toys so I am sure not all dogs will have this issue. If he would move from the ends to the middle when then ends got sharp I would not have to throw them away but for some reason he only loves the ends. I know that the fact that they are flavored is one reason he loves them so much. Even with these issues I love them and continue to buy new ones for my dog!
