Durable toy for destructive puppy!

After enjoying the Goughnuts ball for a few months, it became my pup’s favorite toy and really held up to her persistent chewing! I splurged again on this tug toy (okay, I have splurged on a LOT of toys that don’t last a day) and it has become a great addition to playtime! It is super durable and she loves to chew on it. It’s been a great way to help burn some energy while playing tug of war and fetch. It is a bit heavy but still has a great bounce. I can gently toss it across the room and my puppy bounds around to retrieve it for another round of tug. It does have a bit of a rubber smell, but I am hopeful that will dissipate and it isn’t that bad.

Indestructible... probably?

Our super chewers were gifted this toy for Christmas.

Looking at it and holding it, it would not surprise me if this product is truly indestructible but neither my lab or pit/german shepherd mix reach for this toy, ever, and they love their toys!

This is one of the most expensive dog toys I've ever bought and my dogs just don't give it the time of day. Based on his interest level, I'm pretty sure our 'naughty' dog would chew the tv remote before chewing on this. Disappointing to say the least.

We have a ln 80lbs Staffordshirebull terrier x German Shepard mix. He has been the heaviest chewer either me or my partner has ever owned. Kong toys don't stand a chance, he ATE them (we went up on a size and he still ate it)

It has some give to it so it's actually kind of soft, when you press down on the material, as I've recently learned dog toys should have.

This brand has been so durable and amazing. I want to replace all the toys he has with this brand. Definitely going to get the ball for him. The size of the toy is perfect in relation to my dogs size, so I suggest following the size chart.

I can throw the toy down the hall and it'll bounce a little bit, usually in a random direction but it's not super bouncy.

We have had this toy for a couple months now and there isnt any damage to it, just marks from his teeth sliding off. Great for dogs that like to play tug of war! Easy to use for your and the dog, as each will have a handle to grab on to. Our dog would sometimes accidently get our fingers trying to get his old toys but with thisz that doesn't happen anymore. I haven't had to clean it yet as it has stayed clean, and stays inside. The type of material it is, a quick rinse should be all that it needs.

This company will also replace the toy (for about $9) if you send in the damaged one. I would look at their website for further info.

Waite a bit before writing a review to insure it was going to last. This is the first toy that has not been destroyed the first day! It is still intact — yay! It is fun alone or with 2 dogs (who like to play tug). It stinks a bit initially (like rubber), but well worth it since it has not fallen apart. Very durable.

I was looking for a chew toy that was "indestructible". Now I know that such a toy could never truly exist so I'm not crazy. What I was realistically looking for was a chew toy / tug toy for our two dogs. They love to play with each other and play tug-of-war, and keep away, etc. So I was looking for something that they could play with and not chew and destroy within the first week I bought it (they're from the same breed of mutts but there is some pit bull in them) This toy fits the bill perfectly! It is made out of super strong rubber and is thick, chunky, and heavy! The figure "8" nature of it lends itself to great tug-of-war sessions too. I would say the one negative is there is a very strong and distinct chemical/rubber smell; sort of like an inner tube or that rubbery waterbed smell if you know what I mean.

Here's the thing, I love this toy for all the above reasons except for one thing: my dogs don't seem to care for it. LoL! Yes they were super excited for me to open it when it arrived (how do they always know when the mail is for them?!?!) and yes they played and played with it that day. But now it sits in their little out door toy basket that we keep for them rarely used. What a bummer!

Of course, my experience is not indicative of how your experience may be. All dogs are different and you can see that this toy gets really good reviews. That's the reason I'm giving it four stars. It is a really good product and I like it a lot. For whatever the reason my dogs are sort of over it but I'm not going to hold that against the product as it really does fill all the check boxes that I purchased it to fill.

I have a 90 pound pit bull that enjoys chewing... like REALLY enjoys chewing. he also loves tug-of-war but until now, if I didn't put the tug-of-war toys away when we were done, they didn't survive.

This thing... it serves multiple purposes. He will lay there and chew/gum on it (so gross, slobbers all over his own paws in the process). When he wants us to engage with him, he grabs this.

We've had it for a few months and there's only minor signs of ownership - a few teethmarks and nothing more. Any time anyone comes on pit bull groups or subs online asking for toys their dog can't immediately destroy, this is what i now recommend. with lots of exclamation marks.

This toy is amazing and I provided the picture of the "dinosaur knuckle bone" circled in red is for reference. He is a pit bull mastiff and cracked that bone in half in less than 2 days (i.e. - this is why I have 2 pieces circled). EVERY single dog toy that was labeled as an aggressive chewer dog toy which I purchased for him over the past 6 years had the same thing happen. Obliterated in a couple days or less. This Goughnuts tug of war toy is AMAZING!! He's been on this thing day and night, 24/7, for the past 2 weeks and barely made a scratch. As you can see in the 2nd pic, he pulls, gnaws, chews, etc... and it's still like it was the day we got it. The other problem I had w/ toys in the past was that we couldn't leave it with him if we weren't watching him due to the fear he would destroy it, turn it into pieces and then eat it. Well not anymore. I love this toy!! Pit bulls are the most aggressive chewers in my mind and this one completely stumps him. If you have an aggressive chewer, BUY IT, and trust me you will NOT be disappointed and neither will your aggressive chewer.

I have a 2 year old 70 lb American pitbull who absolutely destroys everything I buy. They toys labled INDESTRUCTIBLE never last a day... balls of any kind are doomed within minutes and only last during fetch. After play they must be put away to keep him from eating them. BUT THIS TOY is amazing it barely has any teeth marks on it!
I know it's ridiculously priced but you're going to buy 4 or 5 toys that cost $10 or a couple $20 toys and throw them away within hours or days. The math totally works if you love your dog. Zero regrets. Love it! ♡ picture 2 is showing a COMPETITORS product of two "indestructible' toys that didn't last a day and I have to put them up after fetch play to keep him from eating the rubber. I can't say enough good about this product.

So far this has been the only toy that has stood up to my pack. My pittie and Rottweiler like to play tuggies and destroy every toy they get. They’ve had this for a few weeks and haven’t made a dent. They don’t like it as much as other toys (I guess the fun is in the destruction) and it is heavy so my terrier can’t carry it, but I believe it will stand the test of time in my house. It’s expensive but worth it.
