I ordered this kit to get started with my new machine. Great value with the supplies I needed. Generous selection of stabilizers, however I also bout adhesive stabilizer so I could practice on towels. Extra needles were also included which I thought was a nice addition. The thread is good quality. I would recommend this kit to anyone starting out.

Thread colors don’t have numbers

This starter kit is good for beginners how the stabilizers are good they are labeled so you will know what to use them for. He problem I’m having is fining the thread color match. I ran out of brown midway though my project only to find that I can’t find that brown anywhere not even on thier store. I ordered what I try ouch would match and it didn’t now I ha e to start all over.

I needed a couple stabilizers then I found this kit that has the four main stabilizers, embroidery thread, bobbin thread and embroidery scissors. For just a little bit more than the cost of two competitor stabilizers, I was able to get everything needed to embroider. These are all quality products. I’ve used three of the stabilizers with no problems. The threads are the same makeup as other embroidery threads and they work well in my Viking machine.

I really want to give this kit a 5 star rating it comes with everything you need to start embroidering, however; The cd that is advertised to come with numerous templates does not work. I've tried two different machines and neither recognize the disc :(. I debated on this kit and another kit and ended up purchasing this one due to the free templates that were included. :( I can't seem to find a way to contact the seller.

I bought this as I am new to machine embroidery and wanted a kit that gets me started. And this got really good reviews, so I gave it a try. It has been great. I have used the stabilizers and some thread so far (still learning) and they have worked as advertised. The thread colors are beautiful and worked well in my machine. The only two downsides I have had so far are some of the threads were difficult to start (the little starter thread was non existent, but I asked a question and got an answer and the seller offered to replace the thread if I could not start them, nice touch) and I am not sure what weight stabilizers are included (there are no light, medium or heavy designation on them), this would have been handy. But overall, I find that this is a really nice starter kit.

This is an amazing starter kit. However I gave 4 stars because of 2 reasons. I would have preferred pre-wound bobbins instead of bobbin thread. Most machine manuals say pre-wound are preferred. Also the disk is great idea, but if you work from a tablet or small laptop, there isn't a cd drive. So I have to now spend more money on an external drive. A link to download disk information would be helpful, but there isn't one.

Super Value and Windows 8.1 Users...

The CD instructions are for Windows XP. And after many times of trying to find a "save to computer" option when trying to save CD designs using Windows 8.1, I finally figured out how to save the CD designs to my computer as the CD options didn't offer the choice when right clicked. Instead, I had to drag and drop the file to my hard drive to save the CD manuel and designs. I was then able to open the singer.xxx fIles with my embroidery software. My embroidery machine is new, I'm still reading the instructions now so I have yet to use the thread but the colors are beautiful. Before I purchased this kit I checked thread prices in the fabric store, and from what ive read in reviews this hread works so you cannot beat the price. Stablizers are pricey in the store this kit includes stablizers however, you will need to buy fabric adhesive. The scissors are very small for my fingers but I may be able to used them just need to test their sharpness.
