Originally purchased 12/2022. It is now 2/2024. This bed has held up beautifully after a little over a year of use and many washings of the cover. This bed is used every single night. If you were to look at it, you'd never guess it was more than a month or two old. No fraying, zippers intact and work perfectly, color hasn't faded, foam doesn't have any compressed areas, and bumpers still as full as day one. I am just as pleased today as the day it arrived. I still would not hesitate to purchase this item, again, or to recommend it to anyone.

Petfusion ultimate dog bed 36x28

I have a 65lb English Bulldog. Her previous bed wore out, so it was time to find her a new (and better) bed. Although this bed was a bit more expensive than some other options, it has good reviews and the description sounded like what I was looking for. So, I chose to purchase one.

Item arrived quickly, no chemical smell, and all the parts were included. The bed has a little weight to it. While putting the bed together, I noticed how durable the material felt, the quality of the zipper, and how the dog already could not stay off of it. The foam is nice and thick, and feels soft while still supporting her weight magnificently. The bumpers don't squish flat when she lays her head on them.

My dog is loving this bed. In fact, when it first arrived she didn't want to get off it to go eat dinner... any English Bulldog owners know how impressive this is! LOL She sleeps well and through the entire night.

I haven't washed the cover, yet, but it wipes up easily with a damp cloth. My dog isn't a chewer, so I don't know how "chew-proof" it is. But, I do know I am very pleased with the quality, the dog is very pleased with the comfort, I would definitely purchase, again, and I highly recommend to anyone.

This bed looks great when you first put it out, but it wears easily. Mine ripped within the first few months with use from an exceedingly docile and lazy dog. The company replaced the damaged liner, but the issues with this bed just continued.

My dog often preferred his little brother’s bed despite this one costing three times as much! I think a big part of that was the smell. After a couple of years, this thing perpetually reeks.

Nothing gets that smell out because it’s not coming from the cover, it’s coming from the underlying memory foam that is supposed to be protected by a waterproof cover. This foam is discolored all over. Leaving it out in the sun did little to soften the stench. A stench that is nothing like my dog’s own odor, and this dog has never had a toilet accident on this bed.

I asked the company if there was anything they could do to help me with a stench, hoping that maybe they would ship me another foam pad. They just linked me to some deodorizers to buy (and I’ve already tried that, and more). Now, while I am out of warranty, it’s worth noting I could have bought 2-3 other dog beds to replace this one in the time I’ve had it and this would still be more expensive.

I was hoping this would be a long term satisfactory purchase, but I would have been better off just getting the $30-40 bed my other dog has, which has been around almost as long as this one, and faired much better! Especially since I’m chucking this out now to replace it with a cheaper bed anyway.

I’m writing this review based on the use of the bed so far being as I only received it today. My Frenchie has neck arthritis & IVDD. I bought this bed thinking it might help him and maybe do preventative measures for the other as they both age. I bought the Large and as you can see they both fit quite well with room to spare. They weigh about 25 lb a piece. The small only fits one of them as I bought the small to put in their crate. It seems well made & easy to put together. It’s a nice weight when I carry it and it is very soft and firm at the same time. I may end up putting a sheet over it to help with the cover staying nice. One of them licks his paws all the time, so the bed has gotten wet & it seems to dry quickly. I really like it, so far, and feel it was worth the money bc I know it’s much more comfortable than the cheap beds I’ve bought for them before. Plus, it must be more comfortable on my sweet pups arthritis than the cheaper ones, as well.

Expensive But Worth It!

If you're here reading this, you might be like me, who'd gotten so sick of cheap dog beds that go flat in months. Usually the cheapies run 40-50 bucks a pop, and it feels better to spend less at the time, but in the long run you're killing your wallet. 50 bucks once a year (or more) adds up over a dog's life.

I finally said ENOUGH and bought a bed from one of the biggest names in luxury pet beds, which my dog absolutely hated. (It was about $60 more expensive than this one for the comparable size - eek!) A dog's preference is its own; can't blame the manufacturer for that, but let me just say I overall wasn't impressed with the feel of it either.

I looked at SO many beds, but finally settled on this PetFusion one after seeing so many great reviews. We bought a Large for our dog, who's about 45 lbs, Cattle Dog mix - kind of a beefy, stocky gal. She's 9 and has some joint and back pain, we suspect. (Which will make you laugh if you look at the pics because she does willingly contort herself!)

She LOVES this bed, especially the bolsters. She lays all over it and sometimes uses them as headrests. She's on this bed every night for usually 8-9 hours, and has been since November. She never seems anxious to get off, even after a long night.

This bed hasn't showed even the slightest sign of flattening. I am so impressed at the quality and how it's true memory foam (not that cheap eggshell junk). It is so comfortable - I know, I have tested it! It honestly feels just as supportive as our own (not inexpensive) human mattress!

I love this bed because it's extremely easy to maintain. I bought a pair of fitted crib sheets from Walmart that fit perfectly on this, and change them frequently. Then I just give the underneath a quick wipe down with a wet rag and voila. Our dog got a tiny bit of blood onto the actual bed surface this one day, and even when it was dried for several hours, the blood came right out with some Ecos Oxo Brite and cold water on a rag. Super easy! I have not needed to launder it, so I can't speak to the zippers or ease of that part. I suggest to save yourself hassle and buy the crib sheets if you buy a Large bed...

All in all, I couldn't be happier with this bed, and I suspect it's going to really last for a long time. We're getting a second dog soon, and I won't hesitate to buy a second one of these. Fantastic product worth every cent. Buy this bed, you won't regret it.

P.S. - Just because someone gave it a bad rating here or there because their mischievous dog ripped it up, that's not the bed's fault. Unless you want your dog to sleep on a concrete slab, I'm pretty sure most dog beds are susceptible to a heavy chewer...

This has easily been one of the best and worst things I've ever bought my senior Shiba Inu dog, and here's why:

There's nothing worse than seeing your four-legger getting older and starting to have the aches and pains and mobility issues that come with age. You dive down the internet rabbit hole trying to find the best products you can to make their golden years as comfortable and pain free as possible, but it all can be really overwhelming.

I've tried several dog beds over the years and even hit up the local thrift store a few years ago and bought my dog her own small sofa as I could never really find everything I wanted in a dog bed that wasn't outrageously priced beyond what I can afford on a fixed disability income. I REALLY wish I had known about this bed / it existed 9 years ago when I first got my dog, I would have been using nothing but this the whole time.

My dog loves sleeping, harasses me endlessly when she's tired until I give in and go to bed with her...yeah not so much anymore with having this bed now, hence the love/hate relationship with it.

I purchased the 36.0"L x 28.0"W x 9.0"Th size which is a great size for her and gives her plenty of room to sleep in any position she wants to...including tucking her snout under the bolster in the corner of the bed for some strange reason, yeah she's a weird one.

It comes with a waterproof mattress cover which I thought was really important not only to protect the mattress from her lickness (she licks a lot in her sleep) but also incase of any urine leakage and also a little added protection from claws. The outer material is more than enough to protect from her claws which aren't typically sharp but her legs gets stiff and she drags her feet a bit because of it so the added protection was seen as a bonus.

A lot of the time the bolsters end up being this flat, more for show than anything tacked on bit, but with this one it's definitely a nice hefty pillow type bolster and she's already used it several times as a pillow. I also like the fact that it's got enough bulk to it that it definitely blocks any drafts but she can also step over it if she decides not to use the open part in the front to get out of bed.

The mattress itself is a good firm yet soft memory foam, which can tend to be extremely overly firm or too squishy, but luckily they got the balance just right with this one. It also doesn't get too warm or cold so I don't have to worry about the cold from the floor traveling into the bed during the winter.

Overall, I would definitely say this is more than worth getting and I can see it last anyone (minus a demonically possessed chewer dog) for years to come.

I just bought my 3rd one, however, the one I replaced was at least 10 years old. These beds have served my Rotties and Shepards for years!!! They love the bolster to put their head on, or simply lay over. The only reason I am replacing one of the beds is one of my dogs thinks she is a cat, and chases lasers. She has pounced on the corner of the bed a few too many times (after 4 years), and caused a rip in the corner. Bottom line, these beds are very durable, easy to clean and loved by my pups!! There is no other better bed for my large dogs!!!

Our two dogs LOVE these beds. We initially bought one but they kept stealing it from one another (one dog goes to get a drink, and the other dog immediately pops up from his bed to steal the new Pet Fusion bed before he returns). We got a second one of these when their "musical chairs" stopped being entertaining, and now they lounge around all day. The mattress is really fancy too - our older dog's creaky joints have really improved since we got him this. And they really enjoy resting their big block-heads on the bolsters, which I think is too cute to not photograph constantly.

Both dogs are 60 lbs (Australian cattle dog mix and American bulldog) and the large size beds are perfect. We have one bed cover in brown and one grey - I prefer the brown one because it shows their dirty paw prints less. The covers are the easiest to remove/wash of any bed we've tried. And the bed stays dry underneath (kind of a unique problem we have here but I thought I'd mention it) because the mattress is thick enough that their body heat doesn't create dampness and condensation on our cold tile floors.

- 1 star because the mattress cover is not waterproof or water resistant as advertised. Both our dogs make tiny wet spots when they chew their rope toys in bed, and it's nothing I expected to soak through. I was surprised that the mattress was stained all over the first time I removed the cover for washing, and that the fabric cover and the protective second layer underneath are useless to save the mattress from normal damp paws and drool. I now cover the mattress with a plastic bag under the cover, which makes crinkly noises when they circle up. It's lame, but it's a solution.

Other reviewers said their zippers were defective so I handle ours gently, and they seem good on both beds.

The covers show fur, paw prints, and drool spots much worse than our previous fleecy dog beds, but it's still not worth passing on this product since the covers are easy to wash and replace. After six months of frequent washing, there's some color fading but no degradation of the fabric.

For the ease of cover removal and the mattress quality, these are the best dog beds we've tried.

My dog is 16 years old, miniature dachshund. She has had many beds over the years but none of them come close to comparing to the quality of this bed. It is the perfect size for her long body. The memory foam is thick and firm, perfect for her aging joints. it also has a liner in case she has an accident. The bed appears to be high quality and I would like to purchase another one for a different room. Another thing i like is it doesn’t seem to trap heat. Our dog was skeptical at first, probably because it took several days for the foam to fully expand. But once it did, and after I sat in it to convince her it's nice and comfy, she decided to try it. She gradually used it more and more and now we have a hard time getting her out of it, she loves it so much. I'm happy to have a soft place where she can rest her joints during her naps during the day.

She's a slender dog of about 70 lbs, and this was a good size for her. She likes the bolster pillow and can either curl up to stay warm or stretch out a bit more to relax her spine, hips and shoulders. I think this was a good choice. Also a plus: no toxic smells that I can detect.

My pup tends to not like any dog beds but since he got a neuro virus that causes twitches I wanted his joints protected a bit. After reading reviews and seeing that this has bolsters (my dog likes a pillow).. decided to give it a shot. This arrived at my house maybe 30 minutes ago and he's already curled up sleeping in his new bed. Absolutely ecstatic.. great looking bed, very sturdy (heavy, won't be moved by the Roomba), and my pup seems to have taken to it great. I've had him for a year and tried about 4 different cheaper beds - never touched any of them. This is a winner. Would recommend!
