Razors and especially blades have gotten ridiculously expensive. I'm convinced a lot of it is just hype. The technology encompassing razor blades has grown infinitesimally since I first started shaving 50 years ago so that even the cheap store brand blades are much better than the premium blades I used "way back then". Anyway, you're reading this review obviously trying to decide whether you should take a chance on these particular Persona blades. The short answer is; absolutely. I change my blades on the 1st of every month so given the price I paid for these (with an Amazon $5 instant coupon) I'm shaving for a little over a buck a month. The handle is solid and feels ergonomically pleasing in the hands. I don't leave the razor in the shower and I give it a quick pat down with the towel after each use. Rust is not a problem. Also, over the years, I've grown to like 5-blade razors and these Personas are in the running for some of the best that I've tried. I'll tell you a little secret - I don't use shaving cream or gel. I use hair conditioner. Nothing elaborate - I've found that even the cheap conditioners, like Suave, work better than any shaving cream or gel that I've ever used. I bring this up because it seems to affect the longevity of the razor blade in a positive way and does not gunk up the razor nor does it promote corrosion. By the 4th week of use, I'm still getting a comfortable shave. As long as the price stays reasonable, I'll be buying these again and recommending them to others.
