5.0 out of 5 starsTHIS COMPANY *HONORS* ITS 5 YEAR WARRANTY!
Reviewed in the United States on March 10, 2021
The battery stopped working after 5 Months. I have not seen any hair growth yet, but you are supposed to after six months of use. The hair laser is well made, however the battery is the only thing that is not durable, and it was definitely outsourced. You can't use a cell phone Battery booster to work with this because the timer and intensity of the medical grade lasers all comes from the battery.
I am calling the company today to see if they will honor it. I will be back with my answer shortly. btw, i made the battery last much longer than 60 days the first time by recharging it after every use. But now it doesn't stay on, except when I squeeze the battery a little, it goes on which leads me to believe the battery made in china, has a soldering problem which wasn't soldered all the way.
UPDATE in April 2022, one and a half years later.
THIS COMPANY HONORED ITS COMMITMENT TO ME BUT AMAZON SECRET POLICE REVIEWERS KEEP WASTING MY TIME BY DELETING ALL MY WORK SO I AM ERASING ALL MY REVIEWS HERE. BUT THIS PRODUCT DEFINITELY WORKED.
It grew hair but so far no thickness of hairs, in other words I now have 50% of my thickness back on the bald spots. I no longer have any bald spots on my head, but the hair strands are thin. So I keep using this now 5 days a week instead of 3 days a week. Also I'm using one other hair growing option, but the laser helmet is key. There is another laser helmet which I won't name. It only has 30 laser lights in it, and didn't work, but the Double Blind Study used 272 laser lights which this helmet has. The amount of LED LIGHTS in the helmet is critical because the study of laser helmets said that 272 lights were needed to stimulate the hair follicles. This helmet has 272 lights and is the most reasonably prices of units that have been made well.
About my Battery not working problem.
The owner was quick to get back to me and very concerned. He sent me the battery within 2 days from Scottsdale Az.
Other things you should know. I bought this first and Amazon was good enough to let me return it because I had problems with the battery. Then I used the return money to RE-BUY the Illumiflow model because it has a 5 year warranty. I have used the helmet from Nov 2020 and all the laser lights still work after all this time. The helmet is well made and the developer spent most of his money using better materials to make a superior product and sell it for the most reasonable cost, out of all the laser helmets, rather than spend all that money on Marketing which is what some developers do.
The battery lasted me over a year the second time. Why? Because I didn't listen to the manual which says to charge it every three or 4 uses. Instead, I charged it after each use which made it last much longer.
One last note that the manual doesn't tell you:
If you are over 40 to 75, your hair will not return in six months like the manual states. It took me over one full year and three months before I realized that my balding top crown was no longer bald, but hairs are growing there. Right now, I have hairs on my head, but they are sparse. Not sparse as in bald with a few extra hairs, but I mean, sparse as in a comb-over look. In other words, there's enough hair to grab, but it's not as thick as when I was in my 20's, but still cheaper and better than transplants, and you can talk on a phone while wearing it or watching a movie. I'm not sure I would wear it while running though as I think it could break.
But even though some hair has come back, I have not give up yet on trying to get it all back. This is the perfect unit to experiment with time though because it has a 5 year warranty, and I believe the owner will continue to honor his product so at the end of 5 years, if I need to, I will probably buy another helmet from the same guy. My 5 day a week use is beginning to pay off. some hairs are becoming thicker in certain parts of the head, so I have good hope that my hairs will continue to come back and grow, but it will take time. So the question is, was it worth spending $849 to buy this?
Yes, it was worth it because I never bought it until after I had lost much of my hair. This is a high quality unit when compared to $2900 model, this is the better deal because it's cheaper and works. And the only thing that has gone wrong with it is the battery and if the warranty expires he'll sell you the batter for $42. But you must remember no laser helmet or hair treatment, except for transplants will get you all of your hair back that you had in your twenties. A rule of thumb is if you have been bald for over 5 years, a laser helmet may not help you as much as transplants. But I was partly bald for 3 years and 50% of my hair came back. I will update later if the rest of my hair comes back.
Good luck, all. Hopefully Amazon will allow me to upload this review.
