About Us

The first steps led to the first big success: Umarex developed a line of guns with powerful appeal to 10 million recreational shooters.

A wise move, with fast results.

Success came swiftly. Umarex became a large importer of airguns. In 1974/75 it made a big impact with internationally renowned brands like Daisy, Marksman, Milbro and Norica.

It secured exclusive rights for Marksman and became the general importer for Daisy rifles.

I've had my Umarex Walther PPQ .43 caliber air pistol for about a week now and absolutely love it. Definitely a heavy-weight pistol, but it's supposed to be, so it handles like the "real thing". Anyway, Ive shot rubber, rubber steel, and aluminum rounds out of this and they all work very well, although the aluminum ones will probably be what I keep loaded for defense purposes. They slammed right thru about a dozen layers of cardboard (that stops any BBs/pellets) and hit the (foamed) concrete wall in the basement. So far it also seems that I'm getting about 35-40 shots from each 12g CO2 canister, which I'd say is pretty good, considering how much larger of a projectile it's pushing. A+ to Umarex for a great product, and since I got it on sale for about $160 I'd consider it a great buy. I also ordered the quick-pierce magazine, but have yet to try it, but for reviewers saying the magazines are pricey, yes they are, but the magazine also holds the CO2 canister AND the actual pressure chamber that propells the projectile. So, compared to most magazines that JUST hold a row of projectiles, these are far more complicated, and hence more expenseive. Another nice feature is the inclusion of the built-in allen key in the backstrap of the handle, used to install the CO2. Much better than needing to carry a separate tool to reload gas. Feels like it is really good quality and I look forward to years of use from it. Oh, and my wife even tried it out and really likes it too :)
