Received defective unit that could not be assembled: Updated
Unable to assemble due to faulty construction. There is a two-piece bracket that the wheels are supposed to attach to. In order to secure the wheel assembly to the main assembly, you must secure it with a bolt, that passes through both parts of the two-piece bracket. However, the holes in either side of the bracket do not line up, so I can't attach the wheel assembly. Will update after I contact Snapper support and see how they want to correct this.Update:Contacted Snapper support via phone during business hours. Answered promptly, but they were unable to find any information pertaining the the model number of the cultivator. He suggested I take the cultivator to the nearest Snapper service center, which was about an hour drive from me. Rather than spend a bunch of time and gas money at what I assume would have been a pointless effort, I contacted Amazon and began the return process. Amazon accepted the return and sent me another unit out promptly, which was not defective like the first. Hole was in the right place. So Kudos to Amazon, but Snapper's support still gets a D-.After assembling and using the new unit to till up my raised garden, I am pleased with it. Takes a lot less time and effort than using the cultivator attachment for the string trimmer tool, which is what I did last season. It does drain the 2.0ah battery fairly quickly but since I have two of them I was able to get the entire garden done in about an hour. Was able to get a lot more leverage on the tool compared to the string trimmer attachment, which meant I was able to till much deeper in a single pass. Last season it took me several passes with the attachment cultivator and I still don't think it got as deep as the walk behind unit did in a single pass. So definitely worth it.
