Very quiet…made grooming day way faster!
I’ll start by saying I have a very anxious pup. She is quite literally scared of her own shadow. We use a grooming swing for nail trims, flea meds etc because she won’t let us do anything. Up until now we have used the traditional nail clippers for dogs. It worked fine but took some time and I always feel like it’s pinching her nail while cutting. I decided to give this nail grinder a try. I was a bit nervous that the noise and vibration would send this anxious pup over the edge and she would be thrashing like crazy. Upon opening the box and turning it on, I was surprised at how quiet it really was. The vibration is minimal for such a tool and I felt hopeful this may work. I followed recommendations and let her get used to the smell and sight of it while off, then while it was on.Fast forward to “spa day” we hung her in the grooming swing and went for it…to my surprise, she seemed way less bothered by the grinder and wow it was so fast! Nail portion of “spa day” was so much faster and more efficient. Her nails were left smooth and rounded with no sharp edges!For size reference we have a beautiful 65lb American Pitbull terrier. Her nails are quite thick and this thing trimmed down her nails quickly and effectively. That means less time In the swing and less stress for her (and mom).I can’t speak to longevity of the diamond bit, since we’ve only used it once. But if for any reason it doesn’t last very long or the whole grinder breaks, I will come back to update.I uploaded a small video to show the noise of vibration but I will say this…it’s way less harsh sounding in person. Before buying I watched many reviewers videos showing the same and somehow the phone almost amplifies the noise. I promise it wasn’t so bad once I actually had it in my hands. I also posted a photo of the grinder next to a water bottle to reference the size of the unit.
