The water bowl definitely decreases a MAJOR amount of spillage. It will jsut drip from the digs mouth. I have a Sammie that makes a huge mess when she drinks water we tried towels and everything.
The bowl is superrrr easy to use and the design is so smart the middle just floats like a boat sort of. Its so cool
My Sammie loves drinking water like a vacuum so she would throw up her food every time after drinking water that i would have to sit there and give her a tiny big till she doesnt want water anymore

Decent bowl
Overall it does what it intends, limits splashing. All the family dogs use it thought did take some learning. My issue is that the buoy puck piece retains water. First couple of refills no issue. But now everytime I clean it, it has water inside the floater. I was able to seperate the float and clean it really well. Then I made sure to let it dry then I sealed it back together as tight as I could but by the next cleaning, there was water inside. I haven't noticed any mold inside, but it could be a breeding ground if not drained. Seems like such an extra effort that I wonder if it's just easier to clean up the splashes.
